Marldon Secures Piece of History

The Grade 2 Listed structure was formerly a Victorian public convenience constructed by McDowall, Steven and Co. and bears all the signs of top workmanship that the Glaswegian ironworks firm became so famous and popular for. The intricate patterns that adorn the panels show no signs of ageing, nor does the mounted crest, which is unique to this pissoir.

Adjacent to Marldon’s recently completed four bedroom house at 3 Star Yard, the pissoir is renovated and cleaned, yet has lost none of its Victorian charm. This ‘Temple of Convenience’ offers the owner a world of possibilities concerning its usage, whether it be as secure storage or as an urban green space for growing flowers and herbs.

The house, and adjacent pissoir, is for sale through Jackson-Stops & Staff.
